Third Row Century Club
At some point in early 2007... Jan. 14th 2007 to be precise... an idea was
born. The idea was to expand our drinking horizons, and to, during the year
2007, have a drink at 100 different commercial establishments. Now the idea
is in full swing. The list of participants is growing longer and longer, and
we're all checking out bars and restaurants that we wouldn't have checked
out before. The plan is to do the 100 establishments on an 'honor system'
basis, and at the end of the year, everyone who has successfully completed
will get a 'Third Row Century Club' T-Shirt. It shouldn't be hard, it's only
2 places per week (rounded off) for just a little more than 8 places in a
month!
For all interested, here are the rules:
- You must actually have an alcoholic drink at the establishment for it
to count, unless you went with the purpose of being the designated driver.
We encourage designated drivers and as long as you went there with the point
of being a DD, then that's okay.
- Sharing of drinks is not allowed, unless it is a pitcher or other
sort of drink intended for multiple people.
- Drinks must be finished to be counted.... buying a beer, having a
sip, and leaving is lame, and does not count!
- The establishment must be within Baton Rouge to be counted.
- The airport counts, as it is within the Baton Rouge city limits.
- The Gold Club counts, but Crazy Horse does not.
- Multiple locations of one restaurant do count, if you want to be a
va-jay-jay and count multiple Bennigan's locations. That would be lame.
- Only commercial establishments are allowed, no drinking at someone's house
and adding it to the list!
- Catered events do not count unless the locale is a commercial establishment
that standardly serves alcohol. (A catered reception at Juban's would
count... Natty Night would not.)
- For anyone who joins in on the fun late, yes, you can count anywhere you
have already been in 2007.
- Have fun and be responsible!
Please let Eric, Brent, or Jay know if you want to join in, and if you want
a list of places to make it easier to keep track of all the places you've
been, just send Eric and e-mail at eric@thirdrow.org!
