October 8, 2007 - Mark & Meghan O'Higgins

It is time that we officially recognize Mark and Meghan O'Higgins. The newly-wed couple should have been recognized over the summer when they tied the knot, but since we did no website updates at that time, there is no better time than the present. Mark and Meghan have been hardcore Third Row Tailgaters for a long time. Lovers of everything tailgating related, Mark and Meghan are true fans of Natty Nights, Galas, Crawfish Boils, and of course Game Days. This past week they helped a whole crew of people drive in from Virginia for the Florida game. It was wonderful having them and their family back in town to celebrate LSU Football. Thanks for everything you do Mark and Meghan, and we'll see you for Natty Night and La Tech!

September 21, 2007 - Krista Allen

Krista Allen... Women's Flipcup Champion, Tag Team Flip Cup Champion... and she made that trashcan her bitch!

April 30, 2007 - Danelle Miller

Third Row would like to congratulate Danelle Miller for winning the 2007 Third Row Poker Tournament. Danelle was one of 3 girls in the field of 24 and ended up taking the prize after around six hours of poker. She becomes the third new winner of a Third Row Poker Tournament and will get her name on the Wall of Champions. Congrats Danelle, and we hope to see you back to defend your title in 2008!

March 19, 2007 - Will Tietje

Third Row would like to thank Will Tietje, as well as welcome him back to the Third Row Tailgater of the Week Wall of Fame. Will really helped us out at the Crawfish Boil this year. He lined up the 800 pounds of crawfish from a couple different farmers in Jennings, and had it all waiting for us to pick up. Will also showed up early on Saturday to help set up the party and to help out with boiling the crawfish. Mr. Tietje was a huge help to Travis, filling in for Eusebio who had to work on Saturday. Will's help was certainly appreciated by everyone who ate crawfish! So congrats William, and thanks again for all you have done for Third Row!

February 05, 2007 - Paul & Courtney Holbrook

Paul and Courtney won the second Third Row Shuffleboard Tournament. Paul and Courtney are the newest tailgaters of the week. They went undefeated in the tournament, finishing a remarkable 6-0 and taking home the big gold medals. Hooray for them!

January 22, 2007 - Courtney Marcantel Holbrook

It is about time that Third Row recognizes one our most beloved members, Mrs. Courtney Marcantel Holbrook. By marrying and putting up with Paul, she has really already done enough for us and the world, however, she most certainly does not stop there. Courtney has been with Third Row since 1999 and has been a regular consumer of beer and food ever since. She is always willing to help out as well by bringing whatever she can contribute to any and every party. Mrs. Holbrook is famous for her crawfish queso, which is phenomenal. Most recently, she helped Eusebio and Cassidy prepare food for the Gala and donated quite a few croc pots and serving trays for the party. Thank you for everything that you do Courtney... we all very much appreciate every bit of it!

December 18, 2006 -
Eusebio Gongora & Cassidy England

Third Row has many people to thank for the Holiday Gala and the entire year of 2006, but we would like start by recognizing two very important people from this past weekend. Eusebio Gongora and Cassidy England stepped up their game in more ways than one. In taking the assignment to be in charge of food for the gala, Eusebio took it upon himself to make sure that this year's event had the best food to date. With assistance from Cassidy and others, Mr. Gongora made the menu and took care of food preparation, including dishes such as venison in a blanket, lobster bisque, shrimp dip, and a chocolate fountain. Then, to really earn tailgaters of the week, Eusebio and Cassidy made sure to consume plenty of tasty beverages before eating any of their delightful dishes, and found themselves both purging their systems in the same bathroom. Don't worry though... Cassidy and Eusebio eventually made it back to the party and were even around to clean up the next day. Thanks to both of you for making the 2006 Third Row Holiday Gala such a wonderful and memorable event. We appreciate everything that you do.

December 04, 2006 - Paul Holbrook

Third Row would like congratulate Mr. Paul Holbrook for winning the Third Annual Third Row Poker Tournament. Paul finished a strong 3rd place last year before overcoming a field of 20 players to win this year. Paul also helped out clean up and set up for the tournament the night before, even participating in (and losing) 5 qualifying tournaments. Apparently he got all the bad luck out of his system, so congratulations Paul, well done indeed!

November 27, 2006 - The Monstrosity

It is about time we officially recognize the monstrosity as the Third Row Tailgater of the Week. Our beloved bar-b-que pit has not missed a home game in years, and has even been to quite a few road games. The Monstrosity recently made its second trip to Little Rock on the back of the Flagpole Truck, and it was very exciting times. The pit got plenty of attention while cooking all day on the golf course and she put out a whole lot of great food. She was also smoking three racks of ribs the whole back to Baton Rouge on Saturday, and they were delicious when we arrived back home. Thanks to the Monstrosity for being such a great barbeque pit and smoker, and we're sure we'll be using you again to cook lots of goodies really soon!

November 20, 2006 - Nathan and Levi Lemoine

Third Row is happy to recognize Nathan and Levi Lemoine as our newest Tailgaters of the Week! Nathan and Levi came through for the Last Game Campout once again, bringing "Little Mexico" to the Natatorium. This year's last game campout was the biggest one to date, and Nathan and Levi certainly did their part. Third Row would also like to thank the Lemoines for their help during Natty Night Sxelbmn. The helped out tremendously with tip collection, cup distribution, keg consumption, and overall security. We couldn't have done it without them! Thanks guys, and see you at the Gala!

November 13, 2006 - Lauren Stovall

We had a lot of people who really stepped it up this past weekend, but perhaps the most impressive person on both Friday night and Saturday was a new face to Third Row, Lauren Stovall. Lauren came in from Virginia to hang out with Third Row for the weekend, and neither she nor us were disappointed. On Friday, Lauren attended her first Natty Night at the Nat. She did her part in drinking Natty, participated in the Flip Cup Tournament, and even "disappeared" with Dick for a little while. On Saturday, Lauren showed that she is most certainly related to the Ducotes, as she showed off her impressive drinking and cup flipping skills, which eventually led to the first ever defeat of the emotionally-drained-from-coming-off-their-tournament-victory Dream Team. Congrats to Lauren, and we hope to see you back in action really soon!

November 06, 2006 - Amanda Ball

This week we would like to recognize our long lost flight attendant friend, Ms. Amanda Ball. Amanda has been flying around the country since last spring with Southwest Airlines, but she still finds time to come back to Baton Rouge and hang out with Third Row whenever she can. Unfortunately she will not be able to make it to Natty Night this Friday, and it is sad because it will be the first Natty Night she has ever missed... something very few people can say. Still, Amanda has shown how much she loves the infamous party by pledging to sponsor a keg this year even though she can not make it to the party. Now that is dedication! Thanks Amanda, and I'm sure we'll be seeing you soon! Ding... you are now free to fly home and tailgate.

October 30, 2006 - Paul, Brent, Eric, and Jay

We have a special episode of tailgater of the week for you as we are going to recognized four people at once. Third Row would like to congratulate Paul Holbrook, Brent Broussard, Eric Ducote, and Jay Ducote as they were the only four people to tailgate this weekend for BOTH LSU Soccer and the SEC Cross Country Championships. Third Row was well represented at both events thanks to the efforts of these gentlemen. If you made it out to either soccer or cross country, we thank you as well, but to earn an honor as presigeous as Tailgater of the Week, you have to go a little above and beyond, like Paul, Brent, Eric, and Jay did last weekend. Thanks guys!

October 23, 2006 - Perisha Hendricks

Congratulations are in order this week for Perisha Hendricks, the first person to ever bring a Third Row wine glass to a Third Row tailgate party and drink out of it. The Third Row wine glasses were a party favor at the 2004 Holiday Gala, but they had never made an appearance at an actual tailgate party until Saturday. Perisha deserves being member of the week for more than that though. She also was one of the drunkest people at the party and made all of us proud with her dancing and booty shaking! Thanks Perisha, and congrats!

October 16, 2006 - Krista Allen

It was bound to happen eventually, although many may not have expected it to come this soon. Third Row would like to congratulate Krista Allen as our newest Tailgater of the Week! Krista arrived before 8 am this past week and was there after the game too, although she did disappear for a while! Ms. Allen, one half of the newcoming duo "Double Trouble", had two performances on Saturday which solidified her as Tailgater of the Week. First, she beat Boo! at a three-cups-each heads-up game of flip cup. That is not an easy task, as many of you might know... especially for a freshman. Later in the day, Krista could be spotted having an intimate moment with a big yellow trashcan. At Third Row, that's something to be proud of. Thanks for your commitment to Third Row this season Krista, and congrats on your latest accomplishment!

October 09, 2006 - Bobby Parker

Thank you, Bobby Parker. And congrats, you are the newest Third Row Tailgater of the Week! Bobby has been hardcore during the first half of this season. He always shows up early to make sure he can help set up, and usually takes his truck on the keg runs for us. Just think, without Mr. Parker, we might not have beer! Bobby has also helped with the flagpole and other things this season, in addition to making sure he gets plenty of beer in him. Its that kind of drunken good time and helping hand that we love at Third Row, and we would like thank Bobby for being there. Congrats!

October 02, 2006 - Autumn C.

It is pretty rare that someone who is pretty much a first-time tailgater becomes the tailgater of the week immediately, but such a remarkable feat has happened this week. For the first time in the history of Third Row, the first two people to show up at the party were girls. Before Jay, before Travis, before Boo or Mattrick, Cassidy England and Autumn were waiting by the tiger vans for us to arrive... with beer in hand. What a great first impression for Autumn! She arrived at the Nat sometime around 6:30 am with a handle of Jim Beam and an itch to discover Third Row tailgating. She made it though the day, helping set up, drinking plenty of bourbon, playing a little flip cup, earning the nick-name "Sota", aquiring a couple battle wounds, and, of course, puking at the end of the night. All in all it was a rather impressive showing and we were happy to have her around all day.

Great work Sota, and we can't wait to see you tailgating again for the next game!

September 26, 2006 - Brandon Brown

Third Row would like to congratulate Brandon Brown as the only person to successfully complete 24 hours of shots this year. The first game extravaganza was a fantastic event, and Brandon only added to it by becoming only the second person ever to complete the endurance drinking spectacle. Congrats Reverend! We know you'll be hardcore for the rest of the season.

September 11, 2006 - Sam Pruitt

Third Row would like to congratulate Sam Pruitt as the newest Third Row Member of the Week! If you have been tailgating the last two weeks, you will understand why Sam has earned this honor. Ms. Pruitt has shown up bright and early each Saturday bringing everything needed to make pancakes in the morning... and then she has stayed throughout the day and through post game, and we're pretty sure she has had a great time... from what she remembers. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to tailgating, Sam. We appreciate you!

August 28, 2006 - Josie Delaune

To get the 2006 tailgating season kicked off, its time to name a new Third Row member of the week... and that will be none other than Ms. Josie "Outlaw" Delaune. The Outlaw has been around Third Row for a couple of years now, and her 2005 season was something to make everyone proud. Josie partied hard, attended events like the Gala and Crawfish Boil, and contributed to the enjoyment of everyone with her warm-hearted smile. Thanks for being a member of Third Row, Outlaw, and we are expecting big things out of you in '06!

June 05, 2006 - Daniel Byrd

Congrats to Daniel Byrd for having obtained the high honor of being named the Third Row Member of the Week. We bestow this honor upon Byrd for his distinction as the drunkest participant of the Third Row Canoe Trip, as well as his continued participation in Third Row since that fateful trip to Auburn that landed a few of our own in prison! Congrats Byrd, and keep up the tailgating!

May 03, 2006 - Paul Coussan

Paul Coussan has been attending Third Row events for quite some time, and I guess its time to give him a little "thank you" before he graduates. The Couss, once one of Third Row's top recruits, enjoyed everything from tailgating to galas and from boat parades to Natty Nights during his time at LSU. We certainly hope that graduation will not keep him away next season. Congrats Couss on graduating, on all of your accomplishments, and most importantly, on finally being Third Row member of the week!

March 20, 2006 - Hunter Brown & Friends

Hunter Brown brought an insane amount of people with him to the Crawfish Boil. It was fantastic to see some fresh faces and to feed "America's Teachers" with a real Louisiana treat. Thanks to Hunter, everyone Hunter brought, and everyone else who helped out in any way with the crawfish boil!

March 06, 2006 - Wes Mossholder

Lets see... someone we dont see that often this week... Wes Mossholder, come on down! Wes has been hanging out with Third Row every now and then for years, but perhaps his biggest claim to fame is his participation in Third Row fantasy sports. Wes competes in most of our fantasy leagues, and in 2005 he won the coveted Third Row Fantasy Baseball championship. Congrats Wes, and we hope you are looking forward to this year's draft.

February 20, 2006 - Cassidy England

Cassidy England is a fairly new member of Third Row. She began tailgating this past season and has come on strong in doing so. Cassidy tailgated hardcore in her first season. She was a regular at the Friday night hangouts and was always there on game day as well. Ms. England looked striking at the Third Row Holiday Gala, and recently she came out and supported the players at both outings of the Third Row Shuffleboard Tournament. Thanks for all of your tailgating and support, Cassidy, and I'm sure we'll see you at the Crawfish Boil!

February 06, 2006 - Erin Brandao

Congrats to Erin Brandao, the newest Third Row Member of the Week! Erin, cousin of Dana Harrison and ladyfriend of Cade Register, began tailgating with Third Row this past football season and is off to a great start! Erin was hardcore at football games and has had a great time at other events as well. We look forward to seeing a lot more of Erin in the future... like at the CRAWFISH BOIL!

January 30, 2006 - Hunter Brown

Hunter Brown should have been a member of the week a long time ago, but since he was never mentioned then, we will honor him now. Hunter led his team (with fellow Third Rower Brian Hebert) to the only 3-0 record in the round-robbin portion of the Third Row Shuffleboard Tournament this past weekend. They will be the number one seed going into the playoff. Hunter has tailgated with Third Row for quite a few years and has always been enthusiastic and ready to help out when he can. Mr. Brown, now serving the kids as a part of Teach For America, designed the 2004 "Third Row for President" t-shirt. Thanks for all your help Hunter, and good luck in the playoffs!

January 23, 2006 - Jay Ducote and Matt Mediamolle

This past friday Jay and Matt pulled off a first in Third Row history, and for that they are the members of the week! Not only did they tailgate for the gymnastics meet (NOT a Third Row first), but they topped off the night at the Gold Club celebrating Dustin Davis's birthday. I know what you're thinking... how is going to the Gold Club a Third Row first?... and it's not. The Third Row first is that between these two events they managed to tailgate AT the Gold Club, and while attending a strip joint is nothing special, tailgating at one, that'll earn you a Member of the Week!
Congrats guys, and I'm glad DD's b-day was filled with DD's!

January 16, 2006 - Daniel Byrd

As I was watching the replay of the Super Six gymnastics meet held last week in the PMAC and shown Sunday on ESPN2, I couldnt help but notice one Daniel Byrd in the middle of a shot getting the crowd into a Geaux Tigers chant. Mr. Byrd has been a member of Third Row since last year's gymnastics season and he carried that on through the football season as well. Daniel made sure to tailgate plenty, make road trips, and he also attended the other events such as the Poker Tournament and the Holiday Gala. Byrd has had a wonderful first year of tailgating with third row, and since he was recently on national television, he is the new Third Row member of the week!

January 9, 2006 - John Starr

The first Member of the Week for 2006 is none other than Mr. John Starr! John once again came through a tremendous help for the Third Row Holiday Gala. His efforts in getting the house ready and bringing sandwiches for the party was very appreciated. Mr. Starr has also taken it upon himself to coordinate the Third Row Shuffleboard Tournament coming up later this month. Stay tuned for details about that. Thanks for all your hard work John!

December 20, 2005 - Brian Hebert

Third Row is always proud to have a new crop of freshman to welcome into the circle. It is always good to have fresh faces and new energy to come into our group. This week we would like to honor one of our true freshman from this year, Mr. Brian Hebert. Brian, who had come out and seen Third Row in his high school days, was a full-time tailgater this past season. He participated in his second Natty Night, which is quite an accomplishment for a true freshman. Mr. Hebert was also one of the lucky few freshman to be invited to the Gala, and he did not let us down. In fact, since he wanted to be there early, he and his date just went to Cane's for dinner before the Gala so it wouldn't take too much time. It proved to be a good move, but still a rookie mistake as there was plenty of food already at the Gala when he arrived. Oh well Brian, live and learn. For everything you have done for Third Row during your freshman season, you have been chosen as our newest Member of the Week! Congrats!

December 14, 2005 - James Lawson

There are so many people that could be recognized as the member of the week following the gala, but since we need to choose just one, we might as well go with the guy who actually won an award at the party. Mr. James Lawson was presented with the second ever Third Row Tailgaters Marcus Award for his actions at the 2005 Third Row Canoe Trip. We congratulate "The Grudge" on earning this award, and thank him for his dedication to Third Row during 2005, and, for that matter, since 1997. James could also be recognized as member of the week for his efforts in getting things ready for the gala and cleaning up afterwards, but since he did win the Marcus Award, he is the newest member of the week. Great job James!

November 28, 2005 - Scott McLean

The Sarge, Big Scott, Scott McLean... Congrats! You, sir, are the new Third Row member of the week! Scott made his first Third Row appearance at the Holiday Gala last year, and his debut tailgating season has certainly been one to be proud of. Scott attended several offseason events such as the crawfish boil, canoe trip, and poker tournament. He also helped demolish and strip down the interior and engine compartment of the Tiger Trailer. During the seaon Mr. McLean cooked a fantastic jambalaya for his fellow tailgaters, funnorkeled a shitload of beer, and even attempted to camp out for the last game of the season. We need to teach him how to opporate the flag pole, but other than that minor blemish, Scott has been an excellent asset to Third Row all season. Thanks, Scott, and we look forward to seeing you at the Gala.

November 14, 2005 - Niamh Minion

Niamh Minion, pronounced Nieve Minyon, but better known as Peanut. Peanut has become the most recent link in the chain of 3rd Row Reppin' on the LSU-SG Bus Trip. Niamh received the name, "Peanut" on her very first Bus Trip, Jay and Collin's Bus, in 2003 while heading to Ole Miss. Since then she has tailgated hardcore and been an "ambassador" of 3rd Row. This past weekend, she organized a fabulous bus complete with snacks, name tags, Ace Ventura, and plenty of proud 3rd Row Tailgaters. So here's to you: our hostess with the mostess, because of you, 3rd Row was able to cheer our boys on to victory over bama ...
Around the Bowl, and Down the Hole, Roll Tide Roll!!!

November 7, 2005 - Meghan O'Hara

Some queens are British royalty. Some queens are actually men dressed in drag. Still, other queens are seen on playing cards. However, this week we salute our own Queen, newly crowned LSU Homecoming Queen and Third Row Tailgater, Ms. Meghan O'Hara. Meghan is hardcore. She gets other girls to drink beer, she rolls her own cigarettes, and she is usually one of the first ladies to show up to tailgate every morning. She has been known to do a funnorkel from time to time. Ms. O'Hara also likes to attend boat parades, crawfish boils, and of course, holiday galas. Sometimes just called HanO, and other times simply Billy, Meghan has really made a name for herself with Third Row and apparantly all over campus as well. Congrats on Homecoming Queen, Meghan! You deserve it!

October 24, 2005 - Eric Versaw

Eric Versaw often goes unnoticed in many Third Row pictures... but that's only because he is the one taking them. Eric, deemed by most to be our "official photographer" has been around Third Row since the beginning. He always makes appearances at Galas, Crawfish Boils, Tailgate Parties, and whatever else we do. His camera hardly ever stops capturing great Third Row memories. Mr. Versaw has been one hell of a contributer to Third Row, and we thank him for everything he has ever done and everything else that he is soon to do. Next time you see Eric taking pictures, make sure to pose for him... you don't want to miss your chance to be on the website!

October 17, 2005 -
Greg Howell and Nathan Lemoine

We have a special treat this week... two members of the week! We welcome Greg Howell for the first time and Nathan Lemoine as repeat winner of this awesome accomplishment! Greg and Nathan, with help from several other very important people including Brooke and Levi, were working most of the night during the Sixth Annual Natural Light Night at the Natatorium. They stepped up huge and helped man the tip jar and monitor the kegs. This was a huge service to Third Row and we really appreciated the help! Thanks guys!

October 10, 2005 - Cade Register

Maybe not everyone knows who Cade Register is, but now you have no excuse! Mr. Register has been tailgating with Third Row for quite a few years now. For the Tennessee game, He came out Sunday night with a case of beer and tailgated well into the night. Monday was no different as Cade was back at it... tailgating with Third Row. Cade, we appreciate all your tailgating and involvement in Third Row.

(My apologies to Cade, I couldn't find a better picture! My bad!)

September 28, 2005 - Denelle Walker

Denelle Walker was Member of the Week on March 24, 2004... and now she's at it again! Congrats Pooky, you earned the Hell out of it this time! DWheezy started last weekend by helping Third Row with a quite tedious task... washing ALL of our tailgating dishes. This process that took several hours of scrubbing and rinsing was a HUGE help to our preseason preparations. Then Pookster made sure to show up Sunday night for some early tailgating. When she left at 2something AM, we figured it would be a while before we would see her again... but we were fooled! At 6:35 AM, with Jay, Travis, James, and Dustin still at the Nat from the night before, Tipsy Pooknasty came walking up to the tailgate party with her ears and tail on. After a great day of tailgating, Pooktastic had already done enough to be MOTW, but no! there's more! On Tuesday, the day after the game, she made sure to gather up all the dirty tailgating dishes from this week to wash them for the next game. Thanks Pookitten for all the work you have done so far to get this season started and for all the help you are sure to give for the rest of the year!

September 19, 2005 - Dustin Davis

Well it has finally happened. We have a true repeat winner of the Member of the Week. I know Brent likes to claim that he has won it two times, but in reality he has only won it 1.12 times because he shared it with the entire Jennings crew. I have no doubt that soon he will earn it again. But for this week, we really have more than a Member of the Week... its more like a Member of the Month or maybe even year. Ladies and gentlemen, the gaunlet has been thrown down in a hardcore fashion. With a fresh new tattoo of Marcus the Tiger on his chest, Double-D himself, Mr. Dustin Davis, is our first repeat Member of the Week! Congrats Dustin, you've really earned it! And if anybody else thinks they want get a Third Row tattoo, feel free. Although we can't "promise" any perks at this time, I'm sure you'll be rewarded too!

September 12, 2005 - Coach Les Miles

"...and I'd like to send a shout out to those crazy guys and gals at Third Row!"

For leading the Tigers to victory over the evil Sun Devils of Arizona State, for taking out a ranked team on the road for your first victory as the LSU head football coach, for hopefully countless victories to come, for taking our minds off of Hurricane Katrina for a few hours, and probably most of all, for flashing the Third Row sign at the SEC Media Day, you, Coach Leslie Miles, are the Third Row Member of the Week. Congrats.

August 22, 2005 - Dr. P - Three-fingered Rob

Good for you Rob, you finally made it the same week you had to move back to Maine. Have fun with the Yankees up there! Robert has been an important part of Third Row for many years now. He is one hell of a Tailgater and one of the most diehard LSU football fans we have ever come across. Rob is an expert at leading "adult" cheers in the student section and drinking "adult" portions at the Nat. We've missed him since he went off to med school last summer, but its ok because we know some day he'll be back with a fever to tailgate and prescription drugs. Have fun in Maine, Rob. And makre sure to come back for a game or two or seven!

June 27, 2005 - Eric "Boo" Ducote

Well... those jackasses decided that I was the member of the week this week... and to make matters worse they decided that I had to write my own caption about myself. So allow myself to introduce... myself. WTF?! I can't write a caption about myself?! I'll either come off as sounding too arrogant or too humble and frankly I'm neither of those, so blah blah blah, apparently I'm the member of the week and I'm special and I do SO SO SO VERY MUCH for Third Row and the parties just wouldn't be the same without me, because someone's gotta play the music and update the website, and yadda yadda yadda. -Boo.

Revision... so this picture above is actually me. This one to the left isn't. My bad to whoever this actually is... or my bad to myself if I was drunk when Eric took it and it is me but I don't even realize it's me, which is quite possible. Either way.... oops.

June 20, 2005 - The Beer Tap

Let's all give a big Third Row cheer to this week's member of the week! This weeks member is one of the most vital ingredients of any Third Row tailgate party... the Third Row beer tap! The beer tap was welcomed enthusiastically to the party during the 2003 season. Since then it has never been the same...and as you can see from the picture above it gets much love. Thanks and congratulations to the Third Row Beer Tap it's just one of the many things that makes Third Row the classiest tailgate party on any side of the Mississippi.

June 13, 2005 - Jennifer Ali

How 'bout a little old school action?!? Jen Ali, congrats, you are the new member of the week! We don't see enough of Jen anymore since she moved to Dallas, but we certainly do cherish any time we do get to spend with her. Jen has been attending Third Row parties since the 2000 Football Season and she has never looked back. She always drinks her share and keeps the party going strong. We miss you Jen, and we can't wait to see you for some Football games this Fall!

June 06, 2005 - Alex Troegel

Good Ole Tater!!! This week’s member of the week is Alex Troegel, North Louisiana’s finest. Alex, a non-Argentinean, has been part of Third Row Tailgaters for two years now. He’s not only an excellent human being but he is also a talented musician. Alex played at Natty Night V in front of over 600 fellow tailgaters. Way to git ‘r dun Tater!!! We are proud to have The Tater, a beer loving American, as part of Third Row Tailgaters. We salute you guitar-playing-hick man!!

May 02, 2005 - Marissa LaPorte

Way to go Marissa! That's right, Marissa LaPorte, you are the Third Row Member of the Week! If you don't know Marissa, you should probably take the time to meet her. She has been around for quite a few years now, always helping out with the Gala and any other event she can. At the Poker Tournament Marissa played very well and when she went out, she made a keg run for us and contributed bigtime in the drinking poker games and subsequent keg stands! Congrats Marissa, welcome to the Wall!

April 25, 2005 - Eusebio Gongora

Third Row would like to welcome Eusebio Gongora as the latest addition to our member of the week wall. The Mexican, as he likes to be called, has been with Third Row for many years and has been one of our biggest assets. He comes up with creative ideas, lends helping hands, cooks excellent food, and drinks plenty of beer, among many other things. At the poker tournament Eusebio dealt the main table until he had to leave in his tux. Sometimes he forgets what "agua" means, but we try not to hold that against him. Mr. Gongora has made many Third Row trips, created lots of Third Row memories, and has been one of our most hardcore tailgaters. Thanks Eusebio... and keep working on that menu for next season!

April 18, 2005 - Blake Hammatt

The poker tournament was a huge success and we have a bunch of people to thank. But since there is typically only one member of the week, we would like to welcome Blake Hammatt to the member of the week wall of fame. Blake helped organize the tournament, helped buy groceries, set up the chip amounts and blind schedules, paid for the winners plaque, and played well in the tournament fininshing fourth. Blake has been tailgating and attending offseason events for quite some time and we appreciate everything he does for Third Row. Congrats Blake!

April 11, 2005 - Jeremy Spikes

This Irish lad named Jeremy Spikes is the newest member 'o the week. Jeremy showed up in true St. Patty Day fashion to the crawfish boil, wearing a kilt that thankfully didn't show his arse. Mr. Spikes has been a long-time Third Row member, making it to many off-season events when time and work allows. He has been seen at Galas and boils, and he also helped sponsor and played on our first Third Row softball team. So congrats to Jeremy... and if its raining on Saturday, we'll see you at the poker tourney!

April 03, 2005 - Rush Ducote

Third Row is kind of like a really big family that all comes together to celebrate many things throughout the year. And like with most good families, it is nice for the sons and daughters to thank the fathers and mothers every now and then. With that in mind, Third Row would like to welcome another Dad to our member of the week wall, Mr. Rush Ducote. Rush, who is father to Philip and Travis Ducote (and father-in-law to Lisa Ducote) has been a huge asset to Third Row over the years. He has pitched in financially on acquisitions such as the Cargo Van and the generator as well as lent a helping hand and creative ideas to many of our projects. Also, he typically goes out of his way to make sure we purchase at least one keg of Shiner when he will be around to enjoy it. Thanks for all of your help and support Rush, and we look forward to drinking more Shiner with you in the future!

March 21, 2005 - Dustin Davis

Big ups to our very own Double D (actually this is the second week in a row that a Double D has been member of the week... odd), Dustin Davis, the newest member of the week! Dustin is somewhat new to Third Row, but he is already making quite an impression! He was an excellent tailgater this past season and has been participating in recent Third Row fantasy sports as well. Dustin attended the 2004 Gala and just recently made sure to show up early for the Crawfish Boil. We appreciate your help and support Mr. Davis, make sure to keep it up!

March 14, 2005 - Dana Ducote

For those of you who don't know her, Dana is Eric and Jay's sister. She makes it a point to drive in from Houston several times a year to tailgate with Third Row. She's been at 2 out of the 3 galas, many mant tailgate parties, and even a few other off-season events. She came through for us big time this year, supplying the magnificent cake at this year's crawfish boil, and even bringing two friends in from Texas so that they could experience crawfish Third Row style. Congrats Dana, and we all hope to see more of you as the year goes on!

March 07, 2005 - Eric Versaw

This week we are paying tribute to one of Third Row's legendary members. One of the few who has his name signed on the bench. And the man we refer to often as Third Row's official photographer, Mr. Eric Versaw. Eric has been around since before Third Row was started, and to this day makes every effort to attend every Third Row event and contribute in any way he can. You will usually see him taking plenty of pictures during tailgating, at the Gala, or at any party for that matter. His pictures can be found all over this very website and can be seen around the world! Third Row would like to thank Eric for all of support, pictures, and beers... and in doing so, we make Eric Versaw the newest member of the week

February 28, 2005 - LSU Gymnastics Team

Third Row is pleased to welcome the first LSU Athletes to the Member of the Week Wall of Fame. The LSU Gymnastics Team, number 1 in the nation last week, traveled to Auburn to take on the War Eagles in an important game, and Third Row was there to tailgate! As the gymnasts vaulted and flipped the faithful tailgaters yelled and cheered, showing their support for the team. As LSU gymnast Kat Hilton recalls, "the best memory of the night was the reaction on auburn's coach's face when she realized that our fans were louder than hers! in her own freekin arena!" That pretty much sums it up as the Tigers of LSU went on to beat Auburn 196.025-195.025. We would like to thank the team for their support of the fans, if it wasn't for you we would have nothing to cheer and tailgate for! Congrats on the season so far, and we'll see you again Friday!

February 21, 2005 - Travis Ducote

Third Row, currently the self-proclaimed officail tailgaters of NASCAR, would like to congratulate Travis "The King" Ducote and his TRASCAR Team, Ducote Racing Corporation, for taking home the checkered flag at the Daytona 500 and jumping out to the early lead in our innaugural TRASCAR season. Travis, although new to the member of the week wall, is no stranger to Third Row. Infact, he is one of Third Row's founding fathers from 1997. The King of the Tailgate has been around from the beginning, cooking everything from his famous brisket, to gumbos, and from jambalayas to mouth watering crawfish at the boils. He has also helped build the flagpole and barbeque pit, paint the tiger striped vans, and purchase the sound system, beer system, and generator. The King coined such phrases as "Third Row saved my life" and "You're not living if you're not laughing". There are many more things to say about Travis, but if you really want to know them you'll have to ask him in person because the list is too long to continue here. Congrats Trav, you are the newest Member of the Week!
.

February 14, 2005 - Lori King

As Third Row Tailgaters, we like to give people nicknames. Our newest member of the week is no exception. Sometimes known as "Icee", other times known as the "Spellchecker", Lori King has proven herself and over again as a great tailgater. Most recently Lori joined us as a returning participant in the Third Row Boat Parade. Hurling beads, painting banners, pooring beer in funnorkels, and eating crabs, Lori had a great time and added to the enjoyment of everyone else as well. Congrats Icee, and keep up the great work!

February 07, 2005 - Mark and Jody Mediamolle

Third Row needs to thanks Mark and Jody Mediamolle this week for their help and participation in the 2005 Third Row Boat Parade! The Mediamolle's brought their boat to Slidell and paraded it around the bayou. Our "Let's get it up!" theme complete with scrubs and Viagra hats was a huge hit and we can't wait to be back next year. Thanks again Mark and Jody for helping out Third Row again!

January 31, 2005 - Meghan O'Hara

What's a good tailgate party without a little pole-dancing you ask? Well the answer is NOTHING, and thanks to Ms. O'Hara, our tailgate parties were certainly not nothing. Meghan was a staple at the Third Row tailgate parties this past season, routinely sticking around long into the night to party hard Third Row style. Many of you also saw Meghan strutting her stuff and her homemade party cups at the Holiday Gala. One this is for sure, you can expect to see plenty more of Meghan next season! Congrats Meghan, you've finally made it onto the Wall of Fame!

January 24, 2005 - "Reverend" Brandon Brown

Every established tailgating organization needs a good Reverend to help spead the word and glory of gameday celebrations all over the land. Fortunately for us, we have a GREAT Reverend by the name of Brandon Brown. Rev. Brown has been a friend and spiritual tailgating guide for several years now, but he really picked it up this past season. He helped out everybody all season long with the cooking and setting up, planning and drinking. The Reverend also led our Crusade to Orlando, making sure everyone's beer was full and tongues were moist. Hopefully he didn't catch the hiv while making his rounds to the many temples and holiest of holies in central Florida. Thanks for everything Rev, and I know we'll see plenty more of you, especially at Brightside on Wednesday nights!

January 17, 2005 - Daniel "Nunee" Nunes

Daniel "Nunee" Nunes is not only our favorite Brazilian, he is also our newest member of the week! Nunee deserves the prestigious award for many reasons... but most recently, he won the award of being the most hungover on gameday for the Capital One Bowl. Daniel hardly moved while tailgating before finally leaving his perch against a pole to go the game. He was the main reason the hiv was spread all over Orlando, and he also celebrated a birthday last week. Congrats Nunee, you are now all on the Third Row wall of members of the week!

January 10, 2005 - Brent Broussard

Many people were hungover this year on New Years Day in Orlando. Some showed up to tailgate early, others came later. But only one person passed out before the game started and didn't make it into the stadium (that had planned on going)... and that one person was Mr. Brent Broussard. The "Play Action" got the best of him as he "hung over" the fence and emptied out his stomach onto the Central Florida grass. Mr. Broussard was a champion on that day, although he wasnt really awake to remember much of it. We would also like to thank Mr. Broussard for his work in securing our hotel rooms in Orlando and helping set up the trip. Congrats on being the first member of the week in 2005! And he rallied. Twice. For real for real.

December 27, 2004 - Rachel Spinner

With Christmas being over, we at Third Row feel that it is only fitting to recognize and honor our favorite Jew. Heavens no I am not speaking of Skip Bertman... he can go to hell with Ole Miss! I'm talking about the one and only, most lovely, Rachel Spinner. Ms. Spinner has been tailgating with us since her Freshman year (2002). She has been a very consistant attender of tailgate parties, crawfish boils, and holiday galas. Rache always comes with a smile on her face and warms our hearts with her amazing charm. Plus, she is HILARIOUS when you get her drunk! So for this New Years edition of Member of the Week, we toast you, Rachel Spinner!

December 20, 2004 - Nathan Lemoine

Nathan Lemoine, you are being honored this our Member of the Week! Nathan has been an outstanding tailgater all season and we were happy to see him at the Gala as well. But to really pay Nathan his dues, we need to go back to Natty Night V. Nathan used his truck to transport all the Natural Light for Natty Night V. He helped us get the first 8 kegs and then made two more keg runs throughout the night to get the total up to 16 kegs.. of which we drank 14 that night. Nathan was a huge help then and has been the whole year, so thanks Nathan, and welcome to the Member of the Week wall of fame!

December 13, 2004 - John Starr

John Starr, you are the Member of the Week! Everyone owes John a huge thank you for his help before the Third Row Holiday Gala. John helped set up, decorate, and even provided us with a centerpiece for the mantel. Mr. Starr has been with Third Row for a couple years now, and we can always count on him to show up early and help out whenever he can. Thanks for your help John, and we look forward to seeing you in Orlando!

December 06, 2004 - Brian Hebert

We turn our attention back to Natty Night V this week as we honor one of our most promising Third Row recruits for next year. Brian Hebert, although young and a little nieve, came to Natty Night this year not knowing what to expect. His friends backed out on him that night, but Brian did what most college females wont do as he showed up at the Nat by himself. It wasn't long before he had a beer in his hand as he checked out the ladies and listened to the live music on the steps. By the end of the night Brian was hugging the barbeque pit to stay warm but he was loving every minute of it. Despite the cold weather, he spent the night at the nat and made sure that Natty Night was the kind of party that memories are made of! For all his tailgating this past season and his most triumphant Natty Night, we are proud to have Brian Hebert as our member of the week and can't wait for him to be around every week next year!

November 29, 2004 - The Flagpole Truck

This week's member is extra special as we honor one of our beloved tailgating vehicles. The Flagpole Truck (or Butch as he was known back in the day, also referred to as the camo truck) was the only Third Row vehicle hardcore enough to make it to Arkansas for the first ever Third Rowd Show and joint 3RT and FFT Tailgating Party. The Flagpole truck took on the roles of the other vehicles in the fleet as well. Not only did we have the Flagpole standing at 82 feet on a golf course in Little Rock, but we also brought the BBQ pit attached to the back of the truck and had the beer tap mounted to the rollbar for easy liquid consumption. Butch caught the eyes of many Razorbacks fans while in Arkansas and impressed them with all the charm and flare we have come to love about him. For many years of hard work for Third Row, being our currently most reliable vehicle, and making us so proud to be Tiger fans while in Little Rock, we dub the The Flagpole Truck as the newest Member of the Week.

November 22, 2004 - Jude Guidry

This past week Jude Guidry came to the tailgate party bearing a gift for Third Row. He handed over a tool bag filled with various tools for Third Row to add to the collection. All he wanted in return was a beer and a pat on the back. Much abliged, Jude, I hope you enjoyed your beer! Mr. Guidry has been tailgating with Third Row whenever he can come in from Jennings for several years now. He always shows up with some meat for the grill, his wife Janet, and some excellent words of wisdom for us crazy tailgating kids. Thanks for the tools, the eats, and the good times Jude, and I'm sure we'll see you again very soon!

November 15, 2004 - Chris Brooks

We have a list of people we need to thank and/or recognize in the upcoming weeks for their contributions to Natty Night V. For starters, Third Row would like to welcome Chris Brooks to our members of the week list. Chris, the lead vocalist for the Freeloaders, not only headlined our show and put on a great musical performance, but he also showed up early to help set up the sound and ensure that the concert would be a roaring success. Chris has made many appearances at Third Row events before Natty Night and we look forward to his tailgating future. Thanks for all your help Chris, and keep drinking lots of beer!

November 08, 2004 - The Jennings Crew

A big thank you goes out to our MEMBERS of the week, Mr. Billy Broussard and his crew from Jennings. These gentlemen who came in last year for the Arkansas game and cooked a pig along with about 30,000 other things came through again this year for the Vanderbilt Game. This year they brought with them the most delicious gumbos and turtle sauce picantes imaginable along with plenty of brisket and sausages. Thanks guys, and we look forward to your visit next year! Feel free to come back as often as you like!

November 01, 2004 - Samantha Arbritton

Thanks and congrats go out this week to Samantha Arbritton! Samantha has been tailgating hardcore this year and she lets everyone know it by wearing as much Third Row gear as possible at all times. Usually one of the first people to show up at the Natatorium as well as one of the last people to leave, Samantha has been impressing us all season. Thanks Samantha, and keep up the excellent tailgation!

October 25, 2004 - Chris 'Donut' Landry

Mmmm... Donuts! Hooray Donut, you are this week's honored tailgater! Chris "Donut" Landry came through yet again this past week with a load of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a passion for tailgating. Chris also joined the crew in getting painted up for the football game... something especially noteworthy because the game wasn't even on TV! We are happy to have Donut tailgating with us this year, his rookie year with Third Row, and look forward to many more tailgate parties to come!

October 11, 2004 - Allison Beasley

Allison Beasley has been a tailgating since the 2003 season. She is quite the football and baseball fan and is always ready to throw around the football or drink an ice cold Corona. Ali has made appearances at many Third Row events this past year including the Gala the Crawfish Boil and has showed up the night before every tailgate party and arrives early every Saturday. Ali graduated from LSU in Mass Communications and is looking to go to Law school soon. If you introduce yourself to Ali make sure to ask about becoming a Michelle. She will laugh.

October 04, 2004 - Collin Ford

We are going out on a limb this week... for the first time ever we are going to honor someone as our member of the week who does not claim Third Row as his tailgating home. This rarest of honor is going to none other than Mr. Collin Ford. While he has been quite a supporter of Third Row off-season events, Collin can not claim Third Row for his tailgating because of the ever-present Ford Family Tailgating. No worries though, we still get to see Collin a good bit, most notably at away football games. Third Row and FFT teamed up in Georgia this past week in large parts because of the efforts of Collin. Jay and Collin's Bus Trip didn't work out, but Collin never gave up and we were able to throw one of the best road tailgate parties ever on the campus of UGA! Thanks for your hard work Collin, and we can't wait for Arkansas (the first official joint 3rd Row/FFT tailgate party, the Third Rowd Show).

September 20, 2004 - Brooke Cormier

Brooke Cormier, you are the newest Third Row Member of the Week! Congrats to you! Brooke has been tailgating with Third Row several years now. She always helped out however she could but for the Arkansas State game she stepped it up another notch! Brooke was the first girl to ever come through with bringing table clothes to the party! Did you notice that we had one table set up nice with a table cloth and dishes for the food!?! Well that was in large part due to the efforts of Brooke! Way to GEAUX!

September 12, 2004 - Kevin Hebert

Kevin Hebert, a Third Row Tailgater since 1999, is honored to be the newest member of the week. Making true on his word to be here for the First Game Extravaganza (and bringing a couple friends), Kevin was hardcore on both Friday night and all day Saturday. Since moving to Mississippi in the summer of '03 to begin his work with Teach For America, Kevin has continued to tailgate as much as possible in Baton Rouge and host crews going to road games in Mississippi. Way to go Kevin, and we hope to see you at another home game very soon!

July 28, 2004 - Kathryn 'Kiki' Karsh

We honor Kathryn (Kiki) Karsh as the newest addition to our Tailgater of the Week wall. Kiki just recently got engaged, so congrats to her on that one, Dexter (not pictured above!) sure is a lucky man. She has been with us for several years now, swinging by the Natatorium every chance she gets. Kathryn has also joined us at Galas, Crawfish Boils, and Barbecues and we always look forward to seeing her again in the near future. Hopefully this Sunday she will stay true to her work about bringing some orange slices to our softball games (by the way, if anybody wants to come play some softball on Sundays, just let us know!). Thanks for all your great tailgating Kiki, keep it up this season!

July 28, 2004 - Scott Hammatt

We will be witnessing something very very special shortly as Scott Hammatt, one of the original Third Row members from the beginning in 1997, finally graduates from LSU after 7+ years. Apparently the one thing he certainly didn't learn is the value of graduating in December, gotta get that one more football season in! Come on man! Anyone who's anyone who's been around Third Row knows Scott, and if you don't, you should, so be sure to introduce yourself at the next Third Row event. While not known for his punctuality, Scott has been the man to come through for tickets on many occasions, he's a reliable captain for the boat float, he never fails to get involved with the weekly specials, and when it was time to 'run like you stole something' Scott did us all proud. Congratulations again, now get a job already!

July 14, 2004 - The Doctor

If ever someone was trying to make a living and doing the best they can, it would be Doctor Peck. Although currently residing back in his native New Orleans, the Peckorino can still be spotted at many Third Row events. As a nautical being, Doc enjoys many aquatic adventures such as canoe trips, boat floats, and sailing on the high seas. He's an excellent man and even a better captain, someone you just can help but refer to him as "Sir". Gregory Peck enjoys higher-class festivities as well, such as the annual Third Row Holiday Gala. While throwing back concoctions such as the King's famous martinis and Third Row specialties like the Dreamsicle and Flaming X, the Doctor can get a little crazy... kooky i would say. Beware of nonsensical phone calls from the Doctor.. he is a stong supporter of the Meat and Cheese Crisis Center and the Beans and Rice International Abuse Hotline. Thanks for all the good times, Doc, congrats on being member of the week, have fun on your next garbage adventure, and always remember... "The key to mopping... is to mop."

July 07, 2004 - Amanda Ball

When you think of something that is totally cool and pretty sweet the first thing that comes to mind is Third Row, of course, but you might also think of the tailgater of the week, Ms. Amanda Ball. Known for her fire red hair and somewhat peculiar antics, Ms. Ball has been a wonderful addition to Third Row by showing up to all the games and participating whenever she can with the off-season events and projects. She always brings life to the party with that goofy smile and crazy, "I don't care" attitude. While she has been a great part of tailgating in the past we look forward to the great things she plans to do in the next year. So thanks Amanda for rocking us with your presence and thanks now for the future.

June 30, 2004 - Nicky Speyrer

Dis week we honah Nicky Speyrer as our numbah one Tailgatin' Tigah! Congratulations Nicky! Sometimes called Nicky "pees on van" for uninating in any corner (includin' da ones on da tires of da vans), Mr. Speryer has been one heck of good guy to have around da party yeah. He did us some mighty good gumbos and i remember dis one time that he barbequed us a whole sheep... oooowwweee, dat was nice! Nick has been doin a fine job of getting us Around Da World pictures dis summa'. He already sent us one from Yankee Stadium up der in New York and we will soon git anotha' from dat Rosenblatt Stadium wer dey do dat College World Series. Tanks Nick, we appreciatecha an wees gonna be missin' ya whiles yous in Atlanta, da gateway to da North!

June 23, 2004 - Dana Harrison

Congrats are in order to Dana Harrison, this week's honorary Third Row member! Dana has a love for tailgating and LSU football, and we are happy to have her around as much as possible. Recently Dana took a trip to Thailand and brought a Third Row shirt and a camera along. If you haven't seen the pictures yet, make sure you check out the Around the World section. Ms. Harrison has come by the Natatorium for tailgating since her freshman year, starting at the legendary Natty Night III. She also has attended a crawfish boil and several other events. Thanks for all of your support Dana, and we can't wait until you are back in town!

June 16, 2004 - Marcus the Tiger

This week's honorary member is the Third Row Tiger himself, Marcus the Tiger! Marcus got his name during the 2003 football season when our mascot, Marcus the dummy, was stolen. To honor Marcus the dummy, we decided to name the Tiger running with the bench Marcus. The image of the Tiger running with the bench has been with us since the start of the 2001 football season when the first ever batch of Third Row shirts was made. The original Third Row shirt, with a beer mug on the front and Marcus the Tiger running with the bench on the back was at first only available in white with purple writing. The following year we offered that same shirt but in four different colors. By 2003, the Marcus with the bench had moved to the front of the shirt and he was seen playing a guitar on the back. He has also made several appearances on Natty Night shirts, hats, visors, coffee mugs, pint glasses, koozies, and bumper stickers. You never know where you might see him next!

June 9, 2002 - Jonathan Pretus

Jonathan Pretus, you are this week's tailgater of the week! We know you haven't been around much lately to give Third Row its props, but we know where your heart belongs! Also, a big thanks to you and the rest of tWeezer for playing Natty Night III! Man, was that a good time or what? The first headlining band to ever play the Natatorium! We hope you are back for Natty Night V! Cheers, JP, and rock on!

June 2, 2004 - William Tietje

This week's Tailgater of the Week hails all the way from Jennings, Louisiana. Young master William Tietje, joins the ranks of the Third Row's elite. With one canoe trip down and two years to go before he can list "Tailgating" as his official pastime, Will is on his way to party stardom. Keep up the good work.

May 26, 2004 - Jere Ducote

Third Row is pleased to honor Jere Ducote as the Tailgater of the Week! Jere, the father of Eric, Jay, and Dana Ducote, has been a huge contributor to Third Row over the years. Recently he has been known for letting us use his house for the Third Row Crawfish Boil and for Poker Night, but that is no where near the beginnings of Mr. Ducote's contributions. For years now he has shown up at the Natatorium with something for us to cook. Whether it was venison sausage, catfish filets, or some good ole rattlesnake, we have always been happy to accept food donations, especially from Jere. In addition to that, he has also been a source of financial contributions to Third Row. He donated $100 for the Cargo Van and also for the Generator, as well as purchase many shirts, hats and other merchandise. Mr. Ducote has attended both Third Row Holiday Galas so far and tries to make it to most events if they don't interfere with hunting season. Thanks for everything you've done for us so far, Jere, and we hope to see plenty more of you in the future!

May 19, 2004 - Philip Ducote

This weeks coveted Member of the Week spot goes to Philip 'Philly Phil','Professor Grizz','Master of Generation','Flop-Turn-River' Ducote. Phil's been with Third Row from the beginning, if not in body then at least in spirit. Most of you didn't meet him before this season, when he made a much heralded return to Baton Rouge and to LSU, and he's been instrumental to the success and progress that Third Row has made over the past year. Whether he's tinkering away under the hood of the cargo van, making sure the generator runs smoothly, getting outside of the circle, providing you with constant quotage, drawing cartoons, or dealing our 'feature table' at the Third Row Poker tournament, Phil's always around to help. And for that; you, Phil, are the Member of the Week.

May 12, 2004 - Brian Thom

Brian Thom, come on down! You're the next contestant on the Tailgater of the Week! Brian (AKA Buzz) has been around since 1997, when the whole thing began. He was a member of the bench-stealing party as the the Third Row left Tiger Stadium and found its way to the Natatorium. Brian has been a huge contributor of the years both financially and in good times. He has made donations to help buy the cargo van, the generator, put in more than asked for the beer fund, and volunteers his truck whenever needed. This past week Brian helped us build the official Third Row Poker Night table. Thanks Brian, we really appreciate your help! Look forward to either taking Mr. Thom's money at Poker Night or having your money taken by him... he wont hold back! Until then Brian, thanks, and good luck on Sunday!

May 05, 2004 - Meryn Allen

Third Row would like to congratulate Meryn Allen as our newest Tailgater of the Week! Meryn has been an awesome visitor of the website lately and we would like to thank her tremendously for her support. She has tried to answer the quotes and trivia questions every week, most of the time getting them right, and not afraid to get them wrong. Meryn has been tailgating with us for a couple years now and we love seeing her every chance we get... like at the Holiday Gala 2003! Congrats Meryn, and keep up the good work!

April 28, 2004 - James (The Grudge) Lawson

James "the Grudge" Lawson would probably be the first to play down his importance to Third Row, but don't let the act fool you. James has been a director since the 2000 football season and has been tailgating with us since the very first party. In fact I can't think of a home football tailgate party he has missed since 1997. James was on the row when it broke in 1997 and was a member of the escorting party out of the stadium in 2000. James was known in his student days as KLSU's "King James" and was a celebrity of sorts at our parties. He is now well known for Third Row's special sweet and sour barbecue chicken. James also coined last years theme "We party like rock stars" and probably more importantly our motto "Run like you stole Something". Next time you see James make sure to give him a big embarrassing hug and say thanks for Third Row.

April 21, 2004 - Tim Postlewait

It's time to honor another recent addition to our tailgate team. Coming to you all the way from Hammond, Louisiana, this weeks Tailgater Of The Week is Tim Postlewait. Hooked into tailgating by his son Robert, Mr. Postlewait is most appreciative of a good time. He has also been gracious enough to lend his boat for our Mardi Gras endeavors as well as the annual boat float. Next time you're at the Natatorium, make sure to introduce yourself and raise a toast to this week's Tailgater Of The Week!

April 15, 2004 - Sonja Ardoin

This week's tailgater of the week is none other than the craziest, most "bubbly" girl of third row Ms. Sonja Ardoin. Some of you may know her as "the pillows". Most people know this dynamic, truly unique young lady. She is usually one of the first to show up and usually comes prepared with beverage in hand. Though you may not always be able to understand what she says(especially once she has finished her beverage), Sonja has been an integral part of third row for the past two years providing many great moments with her humorous, sometimes dingy quotes, like "I don't like filet mignon because I don't like fish" and her "not that sexual" dance moves. For all her wonderful "attributes" and her ability to always bring some laughter to the party(even if you may be laughing at her), we thank her for being a such a devoted member and look forward to the quotes to come.

April 07, 2004 - Scott Murry

For his devotion to LSU Football and all other LSU Athletics (he was the only person that was randomly seen at the Women's Basketball Tournament in the PMAC, something which all of you, especially students, should have found time to go to), Third Row is proud to recognize Scott Murry as our member of the week! Many of you may not know Scott, but you really should. For a while he was the student voice of progressive issues on the LSU campus, but don't let that fool you, he could be found on the front row for every LSU football game (yeah, he apparently thought that he was "too good" for the "Third Row" back in the day... but as we always say, its not a place, its a state of mind). His roots date back many years to when he used team up with the Ducote Commission in the LSU Student Senate (yeah, there was such thing as the Ducote Commission... screw the other "voting blocks", we formed our own!) From then on he has tailgated with us, come to many off season events, and has always been a great contributor to Third Row. We thanks Scott for everything he has done, and we hope to see more of him in the future, as well as hope that more of you get a chance to meet him!

March 31,2004 - Paul Holbrook

Congrats Paul Holbrook, you are the Tailgater of the Week! Paul has been a constant source of tailgating pleasure for over 5 years now. He began tailgating at the Nat his freshman year at LSU in 1999 and has not let up since. Paul was there for the stealing of the bench in 2000 that gave us our name and is one of the few who signed the bench. He has been a huge contributor to Third Row financially through individual donations, purchasing plenty of shirts and hats, and always making sure to chip in on the beer fund and tip for his food. But more importantly, Mr. Holbrook has been a constant attendee of Third Row events that we could always count on to come early, stay late, and help out whenever and however needed. Thanks, Paul, for all your service throughout the years and we look forward to having you in Baton Rouge for many years to come!

March 24, 2004 - Denelle Walker

Third Row is pleased to announce that our newest Tailgater of the Week is none other than Ms. Denelle Walker! Congrats Denelle! Ms. Walker arrived on the Third Row scene at that infamous and legendary Natty Night III. Although she showed up late and ran when the cops showed up, she still got her first taste of Third Row that night. Since then she has been a hardcore tailgater, attending both of last two Crawfish Boils, the Holiday Gala in 2003, and never missing a home football tailgate party in 2003... that I can remember anyway. Way to go Denelle, and keep up the good work!

March 17, 2004 - Katie Melton

Katie Melton has been with Third Row since the very beginnings, and she usually bakes us something. For those of you that do not know Katie by name, you most certainly have noticed the intricately LSU decorated cup cakes at most of the Tailgate parties. Well, those were created by none other than Miss Melton. Most of the time we wonder how it is that Katie has not grown tired of us, but then we remember how cool we really are. Katie teaches kindergarten now, but she has been policing us for much longer. So next time you see Katie at a party introduce yourself because most of us can't claim to have been their when it all started.

March 10, 2004 - Alex Joshua

The second ever “Tailgater of the Week” is Alex Joshua. Big Al is a constant at most Third Row events. Al can be seen at all home games (even if he does pass out next to the track), and he has been known to make it to away games, refusing to even let important things such as guard drill prevent him from representing the row.

Most of you reading this know Alex, and so it is unnecessary to go into many details about how great a guy he is. Al is one of those people who will be a friend for life, always willing to do a favor for a friend. And for those of you who have been in hibernation, Alex will soon be sent to Afghanistan, so just remember to keep him in your hearts. And in the words of Big Al, “I’m Rich Bitch!!!!!”

March 01, 2004 - Inaugural Members of the Week!
Mark & Maxine Lawson

Congratulations go out to Mark and Maxine Lawson--our first "Tailgaters of the Week". As hosts of Third Row's Mardi Gras weekend Mark and Maxine proved, without a doubt, they are true "Party Stars". For those who haven't been a part of a boat parade or at least been to "The Chicken Drop", shame on you. The Krewe of Salt Bayou celebration will be hard to beat. The new saying is "Endymi-who". Next time you run into Mark and Maxine at a tailgate or other party raise a "Cap'n & Diet" or a "White Russian" and give a big Third Row salute to the King and Queen of Mardi Row! M&M:1 -- everyone else:0. It's time to catch up.
